Nystrom House

Colloquially referred to as "The Divorce House", this historic home in Reno is a part of a huge redevelopment project in Downtown Reno.

The Nystrom House, originally built in 1875, served a long, rich history as a rooming house for couples seeking divorces in the mid-20th century. In 2019, developer Jacob’s Entertainment hired Scott Heavy Movers to relocate this iconic Reno landmark. As part of a huge redevelopment of Downtown Reno, this house—often referred to as “The Divorce House”—will sit next to the Chapel of the Bells wedding chapel.
